Presidential election in Senegal to be held on March 24. Constitutional Council had set the date for March 31, a week after that decided by the presidency.
The executive had in the meantime remedied this state of affairs by taking decrees summoning the electoral body on the 24th. The decrees taken by the president are “in accordance with (the) requirement” to organize the vote before the end of President Macky Sisi's mandate on April 2, the council said in a statement.
