Prince Edward took over the honorary title of "Colonel of the Scots Guards" from his namesake, the Duke of Kent (88), on Sunday (April 14). Queen Elizabeth's cousin had held the post since 1974 and, as a colonel in the Scottish Guards, visited British troops in Iraq and Afghanistan in 2008, among other things.
