Prisa dismisses Juan Luis Cebrián as honorary president of EL PAÍS. The journalist breached his contract by not requesting the required authorization to collaborate in another media outlet.
The authorization was not requested or communicated at any time by Cebián, thus breaching his contract. For this reason, the board of directors of Prisa Media, in a meeting held this morning, unanimously considers that the status of Honorary President of the newspaper requires contractual compliance that has not occurred in this case.
