Ali Ahmed Hussein, the commander of the Hajir sector and equivalent in rank to a major general in the army, was killed in an attack in Saltaniyah in Lebanon. According to the IDF, as part of his duties, he was responsible for "planning and executing terrorist plots in the Ramim area against the Israeli rear" In addition to Hussein, two of his subordinates were also killed in the attack.

This is the fifth commander in the rank of brigadier general to be killed in Hezbollah since the beginning of the war.
