The coronavirus pandemic is having an effect on children, says an endocrinologist from Hamburg and the German Society for Endocrinology. However, on average, puberty lasts longer than in the past. It remains unclear at first whether the effect will disappear once the corrona pandemic subsides, says Bettina Gohlke from the Bonn University Children’s Hospital.
