New local history book “1275 Oberhaching” is presented in the Bürgersaal to over 200 guests. In three chapters, the authors Beate Spindler and André Lorenz present 1,275 data and facts about the town.

The book is now available to buy for 24 euros in the citizens’ office, in the library and in the Kempter bookstore. It took three years of work from the initial concept to the final version of the 560-page book. It is made up of many small building blocks, designed in a varied way with a wide variety of elements by Christoph Pittner. Numerous photos, puzzles, astonishing numbers and funny anecdotes provide variety. It will stand out and set the style for other communities, says Rudolf Neumaier, managing director of the Bavarian State Association for Homeland Preservation, enthusiastically in his speech to the applause of the audience. In his words, it is a history book and a snapshot at the same time, and the term home is a mandate for all people to participate.
