Renaissance MP David Amiel presented solutions this Wednesday afternoon to the government. In a report, he warns of an “unbearable” situation for public officials.

He proposes several avenues for the executive, including the establishment of reservation quotas for social and intermediate housing for public officials. The government launched several initiatives last year to put an end to this situation, including creation of an Interministerial Committee for the Housing of Public Employees (Cilap). This organization met for the third time at the Bordeaux hospital center on Wednesday afternoon to discuss the housing of public officials in Paris and Île-de-France. In November, Amiel had been charged with a mission on the housing of public employees and presented his conclusions to Ministers Stanislas Guerini (Public Service) and Guillaume Kasbarian (Housing). He notably put forward the extension of the Visale guarantee (free deposit) to certain civil servants over 30 years old.
