The Race for the Cure celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. The event will take place from 9 to 12 May at the Circus Maximus in Rome.

In 25 years, Komen Italia has invested over 26 million to launch over 1500 new research, prevention and support projects for women experiencing breast cancer. The Health Village will offer prevention initiatives, in collaboration with the Gemelli Irccs University Polyclinic Foundation, wellness and sport. This year, a 10km race reserved for competitive athletes will be added for the first time. Simultaneously with the start of the Race, the first edition of Rowing for the cure will take Place on the waters of the Tiber, from Ponte Garibaldi to Ponte Regina Margherita, organized by the Italian Rowing Federation. The Municipality of Rome - concludes the councilor for Major Events, Sport, Tourism and Fashion, Alessandro Onorato - is an active part of the race, which has now become the reference event that manages to unite sport as a vehicle of mass communication.
