The Dachau District Fire Brigade Association takes stock of the year 2023. There were significantly more calls due to storm damage.

Intensive work was carried out on strategic preparation for long-lasting, large-scale power outages. The refugee issue has worsened because of the war. The fire brigades were also faced with massive demands when it came to accommodating people, for example by setting up an emergency shelter in a Dach Kau gym in cooperation with the THW. The number of false alarms (441) has fallen slightly compared to 2022 (448). These would be triggered by cigarette smoke, dust from construction work or smoke from cooking. The children's fire brigade had more twelve new emergency vehicles in the district in 2023 than in the previous year. There are currently 2,675 active fire departments in the 67 fire departments of the district, with 375 young people active in the young people in 2022.
