Yemen's Houthi rebels say they have targeted a British ship and two Israeli ships. A British security company reported three attacks off that country in less than 24 hours.

Since November, the Houthis have carried out dozens of attacks in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden said to target ships linked to Israel. They expanded their targets to ships associated with the United States and the United Kingdom after strikes carried out in January by Washington and London against their positions in Yemen. The Houthis say they are acting in solidarity with the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, ravaged by a deadly war between Israel and Palestinian Hamas.
