This Tuesday, senators must adopt a constitutional bill reforming the electoral body in New Caledonia. Law enforcement officers have arrived as reinforcements from mainland France.

Since 1998, and the Nouméa agreement, not everyone has the right to vote on site. The reform examined proposes to reintegrate residents who have resided for at least ten years..
