Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was almost labeled an underdog before the first round of elections earlier this month. Erdogan, Turkey's strongman for the past two decades, has been riding a wave of religious nationalism.

Opposition leader Kemal Kilicdaroğlu hopes to bite into the votes of the nationalist camp, not all of which sided with Erdogan. Many see his victory as an impossible task, but he is not giving up and counting on some 8 million eligible voters who did not show up to the polls two weeks ago.
