Francois Chatillon, chief architect of Historic Monuments, has been in charge of the Grand Palais since 2010. Renovation work worth 466 million euros was launched there in 2021.

A first phase should be completed in the coming weeks with the delivery of the large nave on April 19. The general public will be able to rediscover the part of the building devoted to exhibitions in June 2025, before the reopening of the Palais de la Découverte in 2026.
