Argentine tennis player Renzo Olivo entered the Roland Garros qualy at the last minute. He got off a challenger that gave out $9,000 to the winner for a spot on the Paris waiting list.

Olivo beat Ecuadorian Emilio Gómez, 117th in the world, 6-7 (4-7), 6-3 and6-3. He will now go for a place in the main draw of the tournament against Andrea Collarini, 192nd.
