Yannick Morez, mayor of Saint-Brevin-Pins, was the victim of a criminal act at the end of March. The entire political class was indignant at this decision, erected as a symbol of violence against local elected officials.

In a letter seen by Le Parisien and BFMTV, President Macron had written to Morez. The Association of Mayors of France (AMF) again called on the State for a response "up to the stakes" to the case.
