Restorative justice begins in Colombia: former war criminals planting forests. Former members of the army, who committed crimes during the war, will help restore a forest near Bogotá.

It is the first project of the JEP for the perpetrators to repair the damage caused to the victims and society. Former soldiers will work for a year to ecologically repair an environmental corridor on the slopes of the capital. They will start with 15 degraded hectares next to the Chisacá dam, where they will eliminate invasive species and plant native species.
