Four students injured by an attacker in an act of violence at a school in Wuppertal. The knife attack is said to have been carried out by a 17-year-old student.
No shots were fired during the morning incident. The Wilhelm-Dörpfeld-Gymnasium in the Elberfeld district is very centrally located in the city. The area was largely cordoned off, as a dpa reporter reported. A police helicopter circled in the air. Among the numerous emergency services there were also officers with submachine guns.
