Two journalists are publishing a book on how foreigners view France. They interviewed more than 150 people around the world.

The book is called The Ball of Illusions, What France Believes, What the World Sees. It is a fascinating and uncompromising outside look at our country. The author is François d'Alançon, former head of the international department of the newspaper La Croix. He says: "For our leaders, France is a great power. Because it has the U.N. Security Council, has the largest army in Europe. These assets allowed France to play… ’’ The book will be published in French and in English. It will also be available in German and Spanish. The publisher has not yet announced a price for the book, but it is expected to be in the region of €20.00. It has been published in English with the subtitle “What France believes, what the world sees.” The author says: “It’s a fascinating book.
