Seven activists blocked a major avenue in Paris to protest against budget cuts. Police removed the hands of five of them with nail polish remover, before proceeding to arrest the seven activists.
The budget allocated to the ecological transition is one of the most affected by these economies. It was raised to the rank of ‘absolute priority’ in September, to meet the ambitions of reducing the deficit. The government has promised to take back a billion out of the 1.6 billion promised in the budget.
