Three people announced that they wanted to join forces for the 2026 municipal elections (or even before) to try to take over Millau. The town of 22,000 inhabitants is famous for its immense viaduct overlooking the Tarn valley.

In a public letter, they launched an appeal to Millavois citizens of all right-wing sensibilities, (whether they are) members of the Republicans, the National Rally, Reconquête or without a political label. Laurent Bourillon exults: “The alliance between the National rally and Reconquéte is a national first!” And…   And…. The alliance is a convergence of struggles that has practically gone unnoticed. It is a first step towards a common front in the battle for the town of Millau, in Aveyron, in 2026. And it is not the first time that this has happened. It has happened before, in the 1970s and 1980s, in towns across the country.
