Rockfall thunders on Italy's Adriatic highway in the middle of holiday traffic - three cars hit. The heaviest rock weighed 15 tons, fell onto the road and rolled down the central barrier.

Miraculously, according to telefriuli.it, no one was injured. The rockslide was caused by the weekend's storms. Violent floods and mudslides raged everywhere between Montblanc and Friuli. Near Merano, rocks fell onto important thoroughfares in two places. In addition, the Adriatics route over the Plöcken Pass is closed due to a massive rock fall.
