Rodolfo Hernández was found guilty of undue interest in the execution of contracts. The former mayor of Bucaramanga, Colombia, was convicted for corruption crimes.

He was the runner-up to Gustavo Petro in the last presidential elections. The judge will now decide on the penalty that will be imposed on the engineer, who is in his 80s. The decision is of first instance and can be appealed. The events for which he is convicted date back to his time as mayor of the department of Santander.
