Romario de Souza's mother, Manuela Ladislau Faria, has died at the age of 86. She was famous in Brazil for breaking a bottle every time her son scored a goal.
Romário, who did not give details about the causes of death, said that he feels "inexplicable" pain for saying goodbye to his mother. "Mom, you will always live in our hearts. Thank you for everything!!! Rest in peace next to the Lord and hug my father for us," he wrote.
