A former police officer from the Rouen court was sentenced Thursday by the Évreux criminal court to 12 months of suspended prison time. He was also banned from practicing his profession for one year for violations of professional secrecy and use of narcotics.
The IGPN branch in Rennes had carried out an investigation into this police officer, now assigned to Mayotte, and had noted "several offenses" The officer was the victim in 2019 of racist insults and hateful remarks in a WhatsApp discussion group between some of his ex-police colleagues.
