More than 10,000 residential buildings have been flooded in the Russian regions of the Urals, the Volga and in western Siberia. Russia has already evacuated thousands of people in recent days due to flooding, mainly in the Orenburg region, which borders Kazakhstan.

A large part of the second city in this region, Orsk (220,000 inhabitants), was flooded after the rupture on Friday evening of a dike near the Ural River in flood. The mayor of this city indicated that the region had not experienced similar floods of this magnitude in decades.
