[HIGHLIGHTS] Russia and China could build a nuclear power plant on the Moon

Russia and China could build a nuclear power plant on the Moon. The project would aim to supply energy to the future scientific lunar station piloted by Moscow and Beijing.

This project is part of a Sino-Russian agreement signed in March 2021. In June 2022, NASA, in collaboration with the United States Department of Energy (DOE), had launched a similar nuclear power power plant project which is still "to be launched by the end of the decade for demonstration on the moon’s surface"
