Russia closes a turbulent electoral campaign after the death of Alexei Navalny. The elections run from March 15 to 17.

There will be no surprises. Putin will remain in the Kremlin. Up to 4.5 million residents in areas occupied by the Russian Army will be able to exercise their right to vote, even if they do not have Russian citizenship. The 112 million Russians called to the polls can vote for three days - Friday, Saturday and Sunday -, an option introduced during the pandemic.
