Eight unmanned vehicles, up to thirty according to some sources, reached the capital at dawn on Tuesday. Three of these drones were reportedly shot down by electronic warfare weapons, the other five by the air defense forces.

"The Kiev regime has chosen (...) to terrify Russia, to intimidate Russian citizens," Putin said. "Apparently, that's what it's for: provoking us and prompting us to retaliate with mirror actions," the Russian president said. According to the mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, only two people were slightly injured during this unprecedented raid.
