MP Jean-Philippe Tanguy wrote a 90-page foreword to the report of the inquiry into foreign interference in the French election. The report was leaked to the media by the French National Assembly.

It was the second time in a week that the National Assembly had been forced to hold a press conference to discuss the report. The inquiry was ordered by President Nicolas Sarkozy, who has been accused of trying to influence the outcome of the election. He is accused of using the investigation to try and influence the result of the vote.
