Söder wants a lunar control center in Bavaria – plans are becoming concrete. Esa wants to monitor its lunar missions from there.
There is already a control center for the international space station ISS there. With the Artemis program, the US space agency NASA would like to soon send people to the moon again. The last human moon landing was over 50 years ago. The Bavarian Ministry of Economics has spent around 245 million euros on space research in the last six years. A total of 700 million euros were made available for the ‘Bavaria One’ program.
