Sad sensational find on a beach in Italy: carcass of a huge deep-sea fish turned up. With an estimated weight of around a thousand kilograms, the sunfish from Venice is almost a lightweight in comparison.

According to the fire department, the monster will be removed from the Lido di Venezia by a specialized company and made available to the University of Padua for research purposes. The largest sunfish ever weighed, discovered off the coast of an Azores island, weighed a whopping 2.7 tons.
