Almost 10,000 identity checks have been carried out in several Hessian cities since the “inner city offensive against crime” program began at the end of February. 12 cities are taking part in the program, which also relies on controls and police presence.

So far there have been three raids in Frankfurt's Bahnhofsviertel, with 28 people arrested and drugs confiscated. The program, in which Frankfurt, Wiesbaden, Kassel, Fulda, Wetzlar, Marburg, Gießen, Offenbach, Hanau, Darmstadt, Limburg and Rüsselsheim are takingPart, is intended to increase security.
