Since March 29, a social movement has paralyzed half of the terminals of the Grand Port Nantes Saint-Nazaire. A local strike broke out last Friday among dockers at three of the six terminals on the Nazaire platform.

On Wednesday, container ships arriving in front of the blocked terminals had to turn back and head towards other European platforms, as they were unable to dock at the large seaport. A mobilization of all port staff on the maritime platform is planned for April 8. A wave of work stoppages was organized in February 2024, from the industrial port of Marseille to that of Le Havre.
