Saint-Pierre and Miquelon on red ice alert, unprecedented in the history of the archipelago. From this Friday, “an accumulation of black ice which could exceed 2 cm on the ground is expected, followed by 30 to 40 cm of snow”, specifies the prefecture.

This is the first time that a red alert has been issued in Saint- Pierre and Miqueelon, according to the prefect of Saint-Pierre. The freezing rain is expected for almost twelve hours, with gusts exceeding 90 km/h.
