Salim Berrada, nicknamed the 'Tinder rapist,' appeals his conviction. The 38-year-old Moroccan was sentenced on Friday March 29 to 18 years in prison by the Paris criminal court.
He was on trial for having raped or sexually assaulted 17 young women between 2014 and 2016. The criminal court found him guilty of 12 rapes and three sexual assaults but acquitted him of two rapes, considering that the evidence was lacking and that doubt should favor him.
