The future of the Teatro alla Scala represents a priority for its Foundation and for the Government. This was declared by the Minister of Culture, Gennaro Sangiuliano, and the Mayor of Milan and president of the Foundation, Giuseppe Sala.

The current Superintendent and artistic director of La Scala Dominique Meyer must be recognized for his admirable commitment and total dedication to the service of the La Scala. He has achieved, also from an organizational and financial point of view, extraordinary results which today constitute a common heritage for Milan and for 'Italy' The Government and the Foundation have always committed to ensuring that, in the common desire to follow up on current legislative provisions, issues or interferences of a political nature do not find their place during these months.
