The Teatro alla Scala Orchestra is asking for the contract of superintendent Dominique Meyer, which expires next February, to be extended by two years. In a note, the Orchestra's professors express "concern about the continuous journalistic indiscretions on the future of the theatre" The appeal of the orchestra, which was supported by over 95 % of the musicians, arrives after more than a year of hypotheses on possible changes at the helm of the theater.

The orchestra's hope at this point is that the appointment of Meyer's successor will be valid from 2027.
