Scientists found the northernmost point on the planet. It is an unnamed islet that measures about 30 meters long by 60 meters wide.

The scientists, who initially went to take samples, thought they were on the island of Oodaaq. An error in the GPS, which made us believe that we were in OodAAq, led to the discovery of the new islet, the University of Copenhagen said. The island surely belongs to the category of "short-lived islets," geographer Morten Rasch said.
