Sebastián Piñera died in a plane crash in Chile on Tuesday. The former president of Chile was closely related to football.

He bought a large part of the Colo Colo share package in 2005. He forged a great friendship with Mauricio Macri when he was president of Boca Juniors. In 2017 he had to sell the shares of Colo Colo because he was accused of intervening in the elections of the National Professional Soccer Association. He was also a fan of Universidad Católica, where he won six league titles.
