Senator Bob Menendez and his wife, Nadine Menendez, were charged with obstruction of justice in a new 18-count indictment unsealed Tuesday. The new charges add to the corruption accusations that the New Jersey senator already faces.
Menéndez, 70, had already pleaded not guilty to the charges levied against him in late 2023, which accuse him of accepting hundreds of thousands of dollars from businessmen to impede police investigations they faced, and of acting illegally as an agent of the Egyptian Government.
