Kremlin estimates that President Emmanuel Macron was increasing France's "involvement" in the conflict in Ukraine since his comments did not rule out sending Western troops there. “Mr Macron is convinced of his policy of wanting to inflict a strategic defeat on our country and he continues to increase the level of direct involvement of France”, Dmitri Peskov said in a video broadcast on Telegram by a Russian journalist.
Despite the controversy, Emmanuel Macron then assured that all his words were “weighted” and “measured”.
