Senegal: a forum, convened by Macky Sall, advocates a presidential election after April 2. The conclusions of this “national dialogue”, organized by the head of state and largely boycotted by the oppositions, risk reviving the crisis.

The opposition and part of civil society form a broad front to demand that the presidential election which was to take place last Sunday be held before April 2, they say. The president has said several times in recent days that he would leave on April 2 but opened the way for an extension on Monday.
