Auction of books that belonged to former Senegalese President Léopold Sédar Senghor has been suspended. The library is made up of 343 volumes, each with the dedication of their author.

The books are offered at prices ranging from 10 to 40 euros. The collection will be put back up for auction if no agreement is reached with the government of Senegal, which owns the library. It is part of a larger collection of works that were donated to the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. by the family of the late Léo Séhar, who died in 2001. The rest of the collection is owned by the library's owners, who have donated it to the National Museum of Natural History of Senegal in Dakar, Senegal, where it will be displayed until the end of the year. It will also be displayed in a museum in Senegal, along with other pieces of memorabilia from the Séar, such as a photograph of Séhhar.
