The series of violence in the Stuttgart area is entering its third year. Police are also targeting sympathizers of the enemy groups who have not yet been firmly integrated.
The aim is to prevent them from slipping into criminal structures. The number of incidents has decreased significantly in recent weeks, says Andreas Stenger of the State Criminal Police Office. The current calm is by no means to sit back in the investigation of the cases that are still open, says Stenger. The violence is primarily directed against members of these rival groups and not against bystanders.
