Setback for Habeck: Run on oil and gas heating systems - development of the heat pump is disappointing. The Building Energy Act has caused unrest in recent months.
The goal of the traffic light coalition, according to which 500,000 heat pumps are to be installed in Germany from 2024, is unlikely to be achieved so quickly. The reason for this development could be, among other things, the uncertainty among consumers in the wake of the Building energy Act. Since January 1, 2024, every newly installed heater must comply with the Heating Act at least 65 percent powered by renewable energy.
