Seven injured after turbulence on United flight to Newark. The United Airlines flight from Tel Aviv landed at a New York airport due to strong winds and turbulence, authorities reported.

Seven people were taken to local hospitals, said Michael Bigg, chief of operations for New Windsor EMS. None of the injuries were serious, but people wanted to be examined, he said. The plane refueled and continued toward Newark Liberty International Airport, where it was initially headed, United Airlines said. The Federal Aviation Administration reported that it will investigate the incident.
