Pregnant woman, of Asian origin and four months pregnant, was confused with another woman. The woman, who did not speak Czech, signed a document and went to the operating bed.

She then underwent curettage, a procedure generally used following an abortion, an incomplete miscarriage, or a biopsy. Curettage removes debris that remains in the uterus after surgery - or removes tissue to diagnose possible endometrial cancer. The victim lost her child in the process. Potential compensation estimated at around ten million euros.
