The body of a Bolivian bank controller was found Saturday night at the gates of the Fassil bank. Authorities in Bolivia are opening an investigation into the death of the controller.

The family said a suicide is pointless and demanded a transparent investigation. The bank was suspended last month due to illiquidity problems, the government said. It had been operating for eight years, but was unable to return deposits to hundreds of customers. Four of the bank's top executives were sent to jail on a preventive basis.
