territory to ban the Chinese social network. The measure imposes fines of $ 10,000 a day on any provider that offers the popular app, and on the application maker itself. A cybersecurity expert points out that it is more worrying about how the algorithm influences users. The Justice Department is investigating TikTok's parent company, ByteDance, for using the app to surveil American journalists.
