Number of endometriosis diagnoses in Germany has increased by 65 percent in the last decade. But many cases still go unrecognized, according to a study by the Central Institute for Statutory Health Insurance in Germany.

In 2022, 10 out of 1,000 women and girls with statutory health insurance will be diagnosed with the disease. The disease can manifest itself, among other things, in severe abdominal pain and painful urination. According to experts, the first symptoms appear on average from the age of 21.
